I'm on a Mac OS 10.3.5 machine and I went to the Suse Linux Live-Eval Download (http://www.suse.com/us/private/download/ftp/live_eval_int.html) page and downloaded the Live-Eval 9.1 .iso image.

I've burned the 673 MB .iso image multiple ways:

-Mounting the .iso image and dragging / burning the files to a CD

-Burning the .iso image to disk via Apple Disk Utility app

-In Terminal, typing "hdiutil burn LiveCD-9.1-01.iso"

They all burn a CD which has folders and files (screenshot here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v204/superhua/linux.jpg) ), but when I place it in my PC, it will look to boot off the CD, but say, "Boot record not found"

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I don't know how OSX does CD burning, but you need to use an option like "from disk image" or something like that.

Burning just the files will miss the boot sector, so it won't boot off the disk.

Just my 2 cents, but in Windows or Linux I have found that using a slower burn speed than the maximum that your drive supports will often times help. I now burn all my linux .iso's @ 8x
