Go to www.google.com and type "bastards" into the search bar. Then press "I'm feeling lucky"

You can also do the same for "miserable failure."

I rather like the one for miserable failure. I wonder, is this just coincidence, or are the people at google open source loving democrats?

I don't see the need to drag everyone into taking political sides. I think they're just kidding around.

It's not the people at Google doing this. Google for google bombs for more info. But first, google for "french military victories" and hit I'm feeling lucky :)

Too bad the author either knows nothing about European history or let his own bias blurr a couple things.

OK.....dont like making jokes at the French's expense.....plug in "american military victories", hit "I'm feeling lucky" and look at the first entry.....go there. ;)

Well, it's not because it's the French (you probably noticed I'm not a French either), but I feel like war is too much of a serious matter to joke about.

Oh yes, the mess with Canada and the expansion of the US... if you like that sort of reading, you may also check out the biography of James K. Polk (http://www.whitehouse.gov/history/presidents/jp11.html), 11th president of the US.

Well, I'm definetly violating the posting guidelines here, so I shut up. :)

There's a site called Googlebomb Watch (http://blog.outer-court.com/googlebomb/), for those who likes this. Stumbled upon it while googling for "googlebomb", not sure if it's still being maintained though.

BTW "litigious bastards" as well as "bastards".

The best is still: "the answer to life the universe and everything"-- just google it (no I'm Feeling Lucky).

That does link to an interesting page-- google defines words and is a calculator, too! (not that I'd fire up my web browser JUST to do a calculation.... )

Well, I guess you learn something every day. I've never heard of google bombing before.
