Hello all...
Nice site and great info.
Could someone give me a step to step overview on installing Samba and how to set it up to log into a Windows based domain.
Im running RedHat 7.01 and have network connectivity.

Why not read the Samba documentation installed on your system? Lots of text and html docs.

Well...for 1 this Linux stuff isnt very user friendy and for 2 I dont think its even installed or i dont know where to find info..??

Oreilly has some info online that might help you get familiar with samba...

Is an html version of their book on samba, they also offer one via pdf...

This is just some of my Samba documentation in html. Yours may be a a different directory than /usr/shar/docs/packages. After all, that's the reason for including all the docs with the package.

It would seem that most of the documentation available at www.samba.org (http://www.samba.org) is also bundled with the actual package and installed in your filesystem.
If it's easier to look elsewhere...
