connection refused running mplayerplug-in in firefox

hello,

i installed the mplayerplug-in onto my fedora core 2 box and added to the correct directories for firefox. i see that the plug is working correctly but when i try to stream media on certain websites (such as mlb.com) i get a "connection refused" error. i have the correct proxy settings on my firefox browser and i was wondering if anyone has had a similiar problem. thanks.

You might want to try Mozplugger (http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html)

instead, I think mplayer-plugin is kind of old now. Mozplugger will use mplayer installed on your system to play the files, work with Firefox as well.
