Mandrake 10.0, Desktop Problems

I just installed Mandrake 10.0 and am having problems with my dekstop. I can't use it :\

The desktop is empty and I can't click on it or anything. I can stll use the start menu or whatever it's called. The clock is also missing. Anyone know whats wrong? Thanks.

i'm betting you have a red desktop too, , usually means your logged in as root in a GUI desktop thingy, like kde

yes, you should NOT be logged in as root.
