As you can see from the screen shot that Firefox does not start using the full screen.

I have looked in about:config for an option for that, but there doesn't seem to be one.

Also how do I make it so FireFox is the default browser? Whenever I click a link Mozilla opens.

Can you not first maximize the window, then close it, and then
re-open maximized?

No I tried that, and it still opens the way you see it.

Can you maximize by dragging it to the edge? Do that, then close and then save your settings/session in KDE. I cant remember , but I think its in the control panel. Logout and then back in.
