So what is Unbelievable ?? I bought a US RObotics 56k ISA Modem with jumpers, for 2 dollars !!! yes 2 dollars :D !!!!
Windows detect it as "US robotics 56k FAX INT"
Ok, seems that REd Hat 7.1 don't recognize it . I have the jumpers settings COM:3 IRQ:5
Anyway, i dont know what model is my modem, or what driver should work on linux.
SO, yes i need help on "how to set it up" in REd Hat 7.1
Here i leave 2 pictures of the modem:

I'd really suggest that you do some searching through documentation, try something, and when it doesn't work bring the output and your questions back to this thread. In other words you need to be a bit more specific and then someone may be able to help you.

I found your moden listed here (http://www.gunfleet.com/linux_links/modemlin.htm). Just search the page for this number CJEUSA-30429-MM-E. This is the FCC number off of your card.

I have had a lot of issues with modems and Linux, so I think I might know what is screwing you up.
Unless you have hosts.conf and resolv.conf setup, it will kill itself after about 2 seconds.
first you might want to try this link http://********linuxonline.com/omp/hardware/dumodeminst.htm
if some of the other stuff doesn't work for you, at the very least you have the setup for those two conf files.
You then can use ppp to connect or you can get into kde and use kppp(which I recommend because it makes for an easier time).
