Hello and Welcome to JL:)

We need some more info to better help you like what kind of problems are you having? is RH not seeing the Dlink?

I've got two or three of those cards here at the house. I think they use the rt8139too module or something like that. Try doing a Google For Linux (http://www.google.com/linux) search using the terms "DFE530TX" and "rt8139", or just "DFE530TX".

Here's the search for DFE530TX:

So I did some google searching for help. I did learn about the rt8139 file. If I am remebering correctly, from the dlink website, I need to compile the file from a .c to a .o file. But the instructions for doing so are for Redhat 7.1 and 7.2. Since I am completely unexperienced in Redhat, I was wondering if those instructions would work with 8.0. I also tried running a ifconfig -a in the commmand prompt and all I got was the loopback address. I am wondering if the OS isn't recognizing the card. I am using an old pc, it is a HP Pavillion 6370z. Is there some need to move the card to a different port? Or is there a command that I need to run? Most importantly I think I need to convert the .c to a .o, how do I do that?
