video card config?

ok i have a used cirrus logic card, and i have a driver for it(one that came with redhat) but my kde and anything else graphical really sucks, like the mouse leaves a trail and when you move a windows the title bar is all f'ed up, also it the whole viewing part over laps any ideas??? thanks

I'm not real heavy on the vid stuff but I'll take a stab at it...Sounds like it might be a problem with the refresh rate. You did'nt mention anything about your monitor, but you could try setting it up as a generic multisync and see what happens. Also you did'nt mention anything about the resolution, and color depth your trying to use, you could try dialing them back a notch and see if that helps any.
