Used em all the time in redhat... scanez 10-17-2001, 12:41 AM What is the "setup" command, what did it do? and two, you don't need swithdesk, just edit your .xinitrc file in your home directory, ex: exec gnome-session (for gnome) or exec blackbox (for blackbox) or exec startkde (I think that's it, for kde) These commands don't need to be there, there is probably some other way to do what you are trying to do :) SC GNU/br0wni3 10-17-2001, 12:46 AM hi scanez well, you typed "setup" in console mode, and a "DOS type" window opened, and you could configure your sound, your network, hardware, Xwindows, there.. Didnt knew about the .xinitrc file, but then again, just typing "switchdesk" was much easier.. thanks! :D scanez 10-17-2001, 01:52 AM Mandrake has it's own configuration utility called DrakConf. Run that to configure sound, X, network, etc. SC bdg1983 10-17-2001, 02:33 AM Why would you ask the same question again? I remember replying to this question a couple of days ago. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=023868 Didn't like the answers? Twice!!! I only slept a hour or two last night/this morning due to damn leg and foot cramps. I might as well go to work a couple hours early (around 5 instead of 7) though I just found out, no hot water. That's just dandy. camelrider 10-17-2001, 01:19 PM mdwatts.. Try a shot of cider vinegar (have a water chaser standing by or you won't be able to breathe) before bed. The redily absorbed potassium should prevent cramps. bdg1983 10-17-2001, 03:46 PM That's great. Thanks kindly for the suggestion. I do get these cramps quite often though I guess they are related to my illness. At least I got to go home earlier today. justlinux.com
