After much struggle, ive managed to get the postfix mail server on my mandake 10 box into a workable state. The smtp server side works and it seems to receive mail and put into a MailDir in my home folder.
Anyway I'm wanting to use Evolution to pick mail out of my MailDir and put it into the inbox of my 'Local Folders' and I cant figure out how. If i set my account up with 'receiving mail' set to 'MailDir format' and browse to the directory /home/<me>/Maildir the mail doesnt get sent to my inbox, rather to a new folder called "."
How do you set it up to to download mail from the maildir into my inbox in 'local folders'. KMail had an easy option to do it when setting up an account but I cant figure it out in evolution. I have tried getting the mail through pop3 on the postfix pop3 server on my box but that doesn't work, whether I have set that server up correctly or not I dont know.
