Free ISP for Linux?

I just stumbled through installing Linux on my own (well, it wasn't that bad.) But, I really know nothing about Linux. So I was wondering if anyone can suggest a descent free ISP that works with Linux. Something to just get me started.

Find out if your modem works on Linux. If it does, then any ISP will work.
You will use the same number, username etc like windows. Don't worry about it.

Perhaps AOL won't work but I'm not familiar with them.
