Hi !
Mein Toshiba Laptop hat ein "gängiges" Problem, wozu ich folgende Info fand :

In the end I created a RH 7.1 installation boot floppy by booting
from a diskette into DOS and using the RH7.1 installation CD's
dosutils\rawrite.exe to copy the CD's images\boot.img
to a blank floppy.

First an advise: If you are on an English speaking board you have better chances to get your problem answered if you post in English ;)

Anyway, just as the instructions you have say: Get yourself a DOS bootdisk. Boot using that disk and then use the program rawrite.exe (it's on the first RH CD under d:\dosutils\rawrite.exe) to copy the file d:\images\boot.img to a blank floppy disk. Try typing "rawrite /h" to find out about the syntax. Then you have a linux boot floppy you can use to start the installation.

ohoh, sorry sorry, of course this in an english board... maybe that shows my confusion ´bout that but anyways ... in the meantime I´ve found out how it works and now it´s installed !!! But thanks, that was exactly how it worked. But now there are other problems that appear installing Linux on Toshiba Laptops. I´ll find them out and post them tomorrow. Enough for today...
