i have installed suse 7.2 but without iptables...now i just tried to install it from yast. and it worked, but it didn't "activate"...the programm iptables doesn't exist and when typing modprobe iptables linux echoes:
can't locate module iptables.
what can i do?

You'll probably have to compile iptables support yourself into the kernel. There is plenty of kernel compiling documentation lying around, some on this site too I think. Have a look.
