ok i have apt-get to upgrade my programs and such.... i just have the default dl servers though and was wondering where i could add more servers...thanks

Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : apt-get adding servers tuxnewb 07-25-2004, 11:47 PM ok i have apt-get to upgrade my programs and such.... i just have the default dl servers though and was wondering where i could add more servers...thanks bosox79 07-26-2004, 12:09 AM so you have apt4rpm installed? where did you get your apt package from? you will want to open your etc/apt/sources.list in a text editor, you will need to be sure you open your editor as a root user e.g su. to a root# prompt then launch your favorite editor, say I wanted to use nano, I would type nano -w /etc/apt/sources.list, or you can try launching a text editor from a root console by typing it's name & pressing enter and then when the editor comes up navagaite to your sources list file.
