logging problem

hi guys,
i' m new to linux.while installing it ask me password for GRUB and i gave it.now when i boot linux it asks me for local login and password, which i enter of GRUB but it says incorrect login.how can i get rid of this problem.During installation it didn't ask me for any other login and password.

The grub password is the one you have to use only if you need the grub command line during boot up, or else you wouldn't have to use one.

What distro is it?

try giving a space or just enter for the password. If not, boot with a live-cd and mount the files system and delete the password field in /etc/passwd. try searching for ways to deal with it.
