Dear all,

Printing worked perfectly on this Linux machine (Redhat 8.0). Since someday (it
has been a while), I couldn't print from this machine. I didn't make any change
to the printer settings and all the setting remain as before (JetDirect
printer, port 9100, postscript driver). LPD is running. Test pages cannot be
printed. If I send a printing job and check the queue, it would show something
like:

Printer: xxx@****
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
Server: no server active
Status: job 'xxx at xxxx+447' removed at 16:45:21.970
Rank Owner/ID Class Job Files Size Time
done xxxx@*****+767 A 767 (STDIN) 334229 16:06:16

I also added some other network printers (e.g., Lexmark C750, HP Laserjet
4200), got the same result. Just wonder if you guys can help me out. Any
suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Best,
Wayne

(P.S. When I connect the printer by mozilla, the status panel always shows
'connecting, please wait...' although other bottoms like 'Configuration', 'Job
History' show up immediately. Looks like some communication problem between the
printer and the computer.)
