Dark Ninja 10-17-2001, 01:51 AM Just for a generalization - If you are running Mandrake 8.0 or 8.1, if you have HardDrake daemon starting at your bootup, along with kudzu - it should be able to detect the new device very easily. Also, I have setup a few computers with Logitech mice - never had a problem yet. Dark Ninja bdg1983 10-17-2001, 02:35 AM Depends on the kernel version. The 2.4 series should not have any problems with supporting usb mice. sym 10-17-2001, 08:47 AM I am having a similar problem (distro in the sig). My desktop PC picks up the USB mouse (Logitech) just fine, but my laptop doesn't seem to get it. I tried modprobe usb-uhci, and that made it show up in the USB Viewer, but it still isn't working. Any ideas on how to activate it? Could the built in touch pad be "blocking" the detection and use of the USB mouse? Thanks! justlinux.com
