beeping/sounds

how can i switch off sounds? for example when the machine boots it beeps sometimes-->not necassary for me! =)

and also when i press tab and there are no suggestions by the system...it beeps!

Unplug the speaker :D

Those beeps are very useful when trying to figure out why they system won't boot past the Post :)
