I use a proxy server (analogx) on a windows machine for internet access for my linux boxes. I am having trouble connecting telnet from the linux boxes through the proxy.
Any one have any experience with this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

as far as I can tell this proxy server doesn't proxy telnet

I'm sorry but I do not. You might search around a bit on places like tucows.com. Some other solutions like Windows's ICS might be used in conjunction with the proxy to provide you the ability to telnet.

Check the security config on your windoze proxy and look for Allow settings and allow port23 in/out .... Or just setup a Linux IPMASQ box and get rid of the winblows box ! ....

Right now I am using the windows box because I am using a satellite connection for the lan. In soon as DSL is available in this area the windows box is gone....
Thanks for the help. :D

:) :) :) :) :)
Just in case anyone else has the same problem...
I downloaded another proxy server that supported telnet and then had no other problems. I searched around and found comSocks. It is shareware but seems to do the trick for my needs. I got it at linkbyte.com in case anyone else should need to check it out.
I have no affiliation with comSocks other than as a user.
Thanks everyone for the help.
