I JUST installed Mandrake 7.2. Everything works fine (from what I can tell) except I don't have any sound. Where would I go to configure my sound card? When in GNOME or KDE I looked in the Main menu > Configuration but there is nothing in there to configure my sound card. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pat

wow something i can actually help with.
anyways you must login as root.
then in a terminal window type in sndconfig
this should walk you through configuring your soundcard, provided your card is supported.

Is there anything I can do if my sound card isn't supported? Is there a web site or something that offers some information on this or anything?

It depends on what sound card you have. If kernel drivers aren't available (they would have been included with Mandrake), then check the list (http://www.alsa-project.org/~goemon/) of sound cards supported by the ALSA project (http://www.alsa-project.org/).
