Kind of a dumb question but can any on tell me an answer to my question. I am buying a new AMD 750mhz Thunderbird chip adn it says it has 256K cache. The board im looking at says it supports 200 bus speed. are these 2 different things?

Yes they are, so there is no need to worry.

256K of cache is like RAM built directly into the processor. It is the fastest memory available to a processor so the more stuff you can fit in there, the faster it can go. Bigger is better.

A bus speed of 200 MHz means that the processor talks to the rest of the hardware (via the motherboard) at that speed. Again, the bigger the number the better because the processor can get things done faster.
