Mandrake 10 boot options

Hi all

I've installed Mandrake ok but wondered if anyone could tell me the diffreence between the different boot options that I get presented with.

Here are the options:

linux-i686-up-4GB (default option)
linux
linux-nonfb
263-7
failsafe
windows
floppy

The last 3 are pretty obvious but whats the difference between the top 4 please?

I have installed the Mandrake 9.2 and the screen is similar. I believe the software provides a different Kernel compilations, one may be more stable than the other. I tend to go for the default as a newbie can't tell the difference.

Let see what the experts have to say on this.
