A friend of mine (who I dont know in rl) just got linux. She says when surfing the web all text is very small. I have no knowledge of linux and I dont know how to change the text size.

Does anyone here know? I know in IE you just got view>>text size, but ive never used linux

Thanks!

Install TrueType fonts. Go to http://www.google.com and make a search on installing TrueType fonts on Linux. Also check out the Newbieized Help Files at http:///www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel

Yes you can change the size using Preferences in Netscape, but it's not going to make it look any prettier. Install TrueType if you want to have the Windows browsing experience. :D

Or you a different browser than Netscape. Both mozilla ( www.mozilla.org (http://www.mozilla.org) ) and opera ( www.opera.com (http://www.opera.com) ) are nicer, but Konqueror is the flat out best (it anti-aliases the fonts, you have to install all of KDE www.kde.org (http://www.kde.org) to get konqueror). But best suggestion is definitely to install truetype fonts. Also, Microsoft has some truetype fonts on their website (just the basics) that you can get for free, if you can find them.
