does anyone know if this version is messed up like 2.4.11, 2.4.12, and 2.4.13 are?

From 2.4.12 on, supposedly, the "virtual machine" inside the kernel has been improved
..making it now quite tasty.I'll wait for it to show on a "Get the latest Kernel!!" CD before I try a kernel download again(didn't get it either, as I was doing something wrong.)

How are they "messed up"? They very well may be messed up. Just a question.

I had troubles with 2.4.9 from Red Hat, I'm sticking with 2.4.7 for now (even though that is still wacked with my mobo...I'm hoping that will go away when I upgrade it soon.

Maybe not as the previous kernels but 2.4.14 has a nice :D loop bug...see this post @ LKLM for fix http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=100506143231693&w=2

Hope this helps.

/me is off to compile 2.4.14

I'm using 2.4.12 on my Slackware 8.0 box at home and haven't had any problems with it. So far ;) .
