Hi,
i would like to set a local debian repository so that other computers on my network can do apt-get over the internet. The program that i am ment to use is dpkg-scanpackages except i dont know how to use it.

Please help. I also dont know how to create gz file

"gunzip" creates .gz files.

There are a few different ways to set up a mirror, most of which are covered in this thread (http://lists.debian.org/debian-isp/2004/03/msg00241.html) on the debian mailing list.
