i was wondering how i could have a command be run when my system boots automatically, before anyone logs in. :p

That's the script that executes after everything else initializes upon boot up. This is also only if your running Red Hat are on the RH-based distros. I'm not sure about Slack and Debian. I'm almost certain it will be different for them. febisfebi 11-30-2001, 07:45 PM thanks, that halps things, but i just was thinking that maybe there is a network start script that i could add it to, because it is the command that i use to connect myself to the internet, and if i want to restart the network remotely, i get disconnected, and my server is offline til i can get to it. bdg1983 12-01-2001, 07:11 AM If you want to add the command to your network startup script, then try /etc/rc.d/init.d/network justlinux.com
