Icewm and games

Is there anyway to get Icewm to play Quake 2, 3 and Unreal Tournament. I like this window manager because it is very small and fast. I think that it would be very good for games if you play them in it.

Here's the good news. For games like this, you don't need a particular WindowManager to run em. If you have the hardware, drivers and software installed correctly, you can run twm and play games.
Here's the bad news. Mir is coming down tomorrow and I just know I ain't gettin' one of those tacos! :mad:

I've tried all of the Window Managers and the only one I can get to work is either KDE or Gnome. All of the others I get the same error message:

I have no idea what this means. If I can't get it to work it's not really a big deal. I'm just wanting to get the games to play the best that they can.
