I keep a 10 Gb partion on my removeable windoz drive solely to try new Linux flavours. I tried Linspire last week and "broke it" using Apt-Get. Seeing as how Linspire is a Debian deriviative, I decided to try the "real thing"...only one problem, Partition Magic 8 failed to create/resize a partition giving me an Error 27 code. I searched this forum and Googled a few times....no successful results from any of my searches. However, I eventually found a single one line thread that provided the answer.....create PartitionMagic Rescue Disks (two of them), boot and then try to make/resize your new partion(s). This method worked just fine, and so I thought it best to "pass it on" in case anyone else encountered this situation.
