Is there a way to query uninstalled packages for provide lists and info? I'm trying to see what a package provides and where its files go before I install it and I don't seem to be able to.

You didn't say what distro you're using, so I don't know if this helps. Can I setup online sources with a console tool? Liquid Snake 06-30-2004, 07:36 PM oh i see the urpm programs are responsible for online sources. I'm using mdk 9.1. justlinux.com
