I recently installed dropline gnome. When the graphical login screen comes up for gdm there is an option to choose which wm to run. Some of the options showing are not installed and some of the ones that are installed are not showing. Where would I find the file that controls this?

/etc/X11/xdm/Xsession
Copy to your users folder and name .Xsession. Now edit as you want

I copied over the Xsession file to .Xsession in my home directory and tried deleting one of the entries but that doesn't seem to work. Any other ideas?

Try copying it to your root folder. Try commenting out (not delete) the ones you don't want in the original file. OK..thats three more ideas.:D your turn. One more idea..try the spelling .xsession in your user directory.
