hello i'm trying to put win 95 on my PC. with my corel Linux. so how do you format the drive in linux? i need to install a new copy. but i want to put win 95 on first. please help :confused:

You wouldn't want to format in Linux first, because you'll end up doing it all over again when you install Win95.

You'll have to install Win95 first, but prior to that just do a standard "format c:" at your dos prompt after you boot from a floppy.

Install win95 as usual. Haven't used Corel, but most distros come with a partition "splitter" such as FIPS (http://www.igd.fhg.de/~aschaefe/fips/)
or you can buy Partition Magic. During the Corel install it should do the format of the partitions you specify.

i tried that but i cant get my copy of dos to go the D drive its say invalid drive

DOS and windows 9x realy, realy, want to go on the first partition of the first hard drive. Its just a limiation built into them by microsoft...agh!
