ahh....what did glide do to my files???? (cant' start kde)

I recently installed Glide, then uninstalled it. But when I type 'startx' it brings up kde for a second, then it goes back to the konsole, saying 'ksmserver: could not find shared library blah blah' but the library is a glide library. It also says the same could not find library for some other programs.

So what file do I edit to make these programs STOP calling the glide libs?

try re-running Xconfigurator to reselect your vidoe card and moniter. Do you have a 3DFX card?
