Hi,
I've been using minicom to connect to my ISP, but this means that I have to type in my user name and password and then exit minicom, start pppd...etc... This is getting a little annoying and I want to automate the process.
I have managed to make a script in Seyon that will automatically transmit my user name and password but the problems begin when I want to exit seyon and launch pppd. Unlike when I type Ctrl-A-Q in minicom, when I exit seyon, or give a 'quit' script command, and launch pppd, it just repeats:

sent [LCP ConfReq id=0x1 <mru 552> <asyncmap 0x0> <magic 0x425d0b06> <pcomp> <accomp>]

over and over, and never actually connects. Is there an equivalent to the quit without reset in minicom that will allow me to use seyon?
Before you ask, I cannot get the chat script to work for love nor money and this is why I am trying to do it using seyon.
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to exit seyon once it is connected to my ISP but still allow pppd to talk to the modem.
Thanks a lot,
Tim  null
