Hydrogen, anyone?

I've installed the Hydrogen drum-machine app by using the ./configure, make and make install commands and it seems to have worked fine for the installation, but when I go to start the program I only see the splash-screen for a split-second and then it tells me that there is a segmentation fault. Does this mean that it needs a certain folder to be created for the app to run? Anybody have any thoughts about this program? What am I doing wrong??
