Command line PPP dialer

Is there a good, simple comand line PPP dialer out there? If not I've been looking for a quick and simple script that I can steal and warp to my needs.

wvdial is the only thing that has worked for me, or is the only thing that I've tried? Anyways it's pretty niffty.

Hot Diggity it worked! any advice how I can run this thing as a non-root user? Remember to speak slowly and use small words.

I believe you could change the permissions on your modem and allow anyone to run it.
