:)Hi,
I'm a Linuxnewbie n this is my 1st post. This is my first experience running Linux and I think I messed up my KDE. I wonder if anyone can help me out with this. Here's my problem. I have been messing with the icons on my KDE desktop as root(I know that was stupid of me).
I was trying to put a shortcut that would open up a directory in my windows partition. So, i change my fstab so i could mount the dos partition. Then i made a copy of the cdrom icon(on my dektop) n renaming it. I change this icon property on 'device' tab to point to my dos partition. I then try clicking on it and it opens up 'open with' windows. so i choose 'home directory' and then ticking the 'open file with this application' radio button. And that's when the problem began.
Now everytime i click on any icon on the desktop it opens up the 'open with' windows. Even the icons on my panel are messed up!! It won't even display the correct icon!!
I wonder if i can fix this with reinstalling everything. Help!! :(
I'm using Red Hat 7.1(Kernel 2.4.2-2) KDE 2.1.1
