Hi guys!

I was fighting around to get pptpd working as an mppe compatible VPN server and finally i got it *phew*

First of all, excuse my school-english and that i can't tell you why i did it this way, because after a while trying i just collected some infos with google, put them together and tried, without knowing what I'm currently doing there ;)

Enough yada yada... :)

The installation contains of five (5) easy steps:

# rpm -Uhv ppp-2.4.2_cvs_20030610-1.i386.rpm
# rpm -Uhv dkms-1.12-1.noarch.rpm
# rpm -Uhv kernel_ppp_mppe-0.0.4-1dkms.noarch.rpm
# rpm -Uhv pptp-linux-1.3.1-1.i386.rpm
# rpm -Uhv pptp-php-gtk-20030505-rc1.i386.rpm

...voila, that's it

I don't know, if newer or older versions of these components work, but with exactly these version i got mine running...
But if anybody try this out with newer versions it would be nice letting us know, if it worked.

You can find the rpm's in that versions here (http://ftp.bay13.net/pub/wiretapped/network-security/pptpclient/) or just like me via google.

Hope i could help some people over here :D

greets,
