Ok ! I'm trying to configure my logitech 'access' keyboard using hotkeys. Hotkeys requires these 3 files:

libdb.so.3 is needed by hotkeys-0.5.1-1
libxosd.so.0 is needed by hotkeys-0.5.1-1
libdb.so.3(GLIBC_2.1) is needed by hotkeys-0.5.1-1

But ! I already have glibc installed? Does anyone know why it isn't being recognised.

What version of glibc.

I'm not sure I think it's 2.3 ? How would I find out for sure. When I tried to downgrade it to the 2.1 it said that the one currently installed was needed by a load of programs/ files.

I wouldn't take the chance of totally screwing up your system just for installing hotkeys.

Is there a newer version of hotkeys available for glibc 2.3?

Is hotkeys a program to access those extra buttons (sound, web etc.) at the top of the keyboard? Lineak (sp?) does the same. Search at freshmeat.net

Ok, I compiled it, ran the lineakd -l to find my keyboard (logitech access keyboard) made that my keyboard lineak -c WHATEVER THE CODE WAS

BUT ! :o Still nothing? I read the manual at the site about changing the config file because it should be empty by default. So I found the .def file it goes on about but that just lists all the keyboards lineak supports. Is there another config file im supposed to be editing that I missed?

I've known of lineak for years (new versions always posted at freshmeat.net), but have never used it. Did you follow all the documentation included with the lineak package and on their site?

Searched the JL forums to see if others have successfully installed lineak? Or G4L for other guides?
