I am just wondering if there are any really good books for newbies on Mandrake 7.2? Is there much of a difference between Mandrake 7.0 and 7.2? If I bought a book on Mandrake 7.0 will it be pretty much the same as a book on Mandrake 7.2? Thanks for your time.

I'll try to be as general as possible ok so please bear with me. I suggest that you go beyond the boundaries of Mandrake. If you want books, maybe you try running through the Oreilly catalog. I have a copy of the famous Running Linux. I think thta Mandrake has its own documentaion in /usr/doc or other paths. There are still man pages and info pages. Or if you get to programming , there are many HOWTOs and free downloadable books out there. I hope that you would enjoy Linux just as I do. Try looking for documentation in the system.
Good luck!

"Linux Essential Reference" by New Riders www.newriders.com (http://www.newriders.com) is great.

I agree with all that's been said, but if you really want a Mandrake book, they're rare. You can pick up a Red Hat book if Drake is what you want to specialize in...Red Hat and Drake are completely identical.
