modem and samba problems

can samba write to an ntfs fs over a network, i want to move a file from my linux comp to my dads windoz comp, his uses ntfs

also, is there any drivers for Win Lucent Modems? i need them to connect to the net

In regards to your first question, yes it can. As long as the user using the Samba client has the proper share and ntfs permissions on the destination computer, they can write to it.
