Hello.
We build coinslot managed internet machines running under Suse Linux. coinslot managed means that when the money runs out the keyboard and mouse usages are stopped by signal to the floppy board from the coionslot.

We run it under Suse 7.1 at the moment but cannot get it to run under Suse 9.1. We would like to use Sue 9.1 for many reason but also for the enhanced USB support for mouse and keyboard. So the interupt would have to work on PS1 and USB.

Any suggestions would be very helpfull.

Thankx to all in advance.

You haven't stated a particular problem, yet. Only you can't run it with one but can the other. Errors...what????

Thnkx John T for your reply.
You are right. It runs under suse 7.1 and NOT under suse 9.1. 9.1 simply does not accept the 7.1 interupt script.

So error no. Problem yess. The keyb. and mouse do not turn off when the coinslot tells the floppyboard that the time bought by the client is over. All i need is a way to tell 9.1 to turn off keyb. & mouse (on PS1 or USB) when the time is up.

Any ideas?

So your script....have you taken into account any kernel changes between the two versions? Suse, like most distros took some fairly good leaps in configuration changes during those version numbers.
