I just got disc 1 downloaded and disc 2 reached something like 20% but i want to use redhat now
can i install it with x and everything with just the disc 1 like mandrake or do i have to wait another painful 2 hours for the second disc ?

Disc 2 has some important stuff on it. About half of my installation was taken off of it, actually. I don't remember exactly what, but I think you'd be better off waiting.

I hate downloading linux...... But i like using it !!!

Disc one will be fine.

Select custom install, and don't select individual packages, just click everything but laptop support and you'll be ok.

I've done it a few times testing new pc's etc..... It'll work with a gui, but you will need to add packages later.
