Well, I wasn't Impressed with Corel's half-assed attempt to put out WP2K. The Winblows version is one of only 2 reasons why I keep my backup machine with Win95. I mean WordPerfect 8 was written for linux as opposed to WP2K ported under WINE. How lazy.
Anyway. Since Corel sold off their Linux division to Xandros, the link to WP8 in Linux.com redirects to Xandros (which doesn't have any products available yet) Caldera used to have an rpm, but since they went for pay on their distro, their old versions are unaccessible (unless someone can find a link). And Even Corel's site, you can't find anything aside from old printer drivers for their older (Dos) versions of WP. I have the Maximum Linux cd (#2) that had WP8 on it (that mag rocked :D ) But since that mag was yanked those cd's are not available any more. So my question is does anyone have any links to good ole WP8? Now I don't want this to get into a flame war about WP against ABI or SO. I used WP and SO5.2 both and love both. But I still have the need to keep my WP8. QUestion is what about those that we bring into the fold that want to have a usable Word Perfect. Are they SOL. And what about offering people to burn copies of my Maximum Linux cd with WP8 on it along with my caldera rpm (that I downloaded before it disappeared)?
