Connect using serial port on linux??

Can someone give the a command I can use to connect via a serial connection to a Cisoc local director¿ On Solaris i do this with a tip connection and on WIndows with hyperterm.

I use minicom to connect through my serial port to a terminal server that connects to all the console ports on our unix servers.
