Hello,
I'm setting up a proxy server running Fedora Core on the 2.6.5 kernel. The machine is a bridge, and transparently caches web traffic before it goes to the main router. However, when I initialize the bridge and squid at the same time during the boot, the bridge is unable to connect to the rest of the network (when I turn squid off, it works fine). I'm taking a shot in the dark here and guessing that the bridge doesn't fully configure itself before squid starts up during the boot, creating some sort of conflict. Is there any way to create a short time delay between the bridge initialization and the squid startup? Both are started up in the rc.local script in /etc/rc.d/.
Thanks in advance for your help,
Durden
