are you sure you have kde 2.2 on kde 9.0 and say not 3.1?
if you have 3.1 you can try upgrading to 3.2 using this http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/kde31to32.html
or upgrading to suse 9.1 via an ftp install
maybe you can use yast also, I only used suse for a short time maybe a current user has more info ;)
just my .02

You did... thanks.

I was reviewing the saved html I had (in Konqueror) and was just about to copy & paste when I thought 'wait a minute, better to double check the link you had already posted' and wouldn't you know it... the exact same. :eek:

<edit>

Guess we're even now. :D

And you're doing a great job if I may add. I'm sure everyone here appreciates your effort. Wish we had more like you so I could take more time off from JL. I know, I know, I don't have to spend as much time here, but I hate to see so many threads with zero replies or others still waiting to get their problems resolved. Oh well. :(

me too, I also hate to see threads with no replies, and I enjoy being part of the JL & Linux community. there are those who say I am a JL/Linux addict ;) and thank you for your kind words. believe me I would not be using linux today without the help of JL, I just try to do what I can to repay the community while I have the time and resources.

The 9.1 FTP mirrors will not be up untill june 4th according to this ftp://mirror.storagetek.com/pub/systems/suse/i386/9.1/README.txt
unless someone else knows of a mirror that has 9.1 take a look at MD's post in this thread for a general idea about how the install processes should work. this thread should also help http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=126934&highlight=SUSE+ftp
