Are there any note taking programs available for Linux such as One Note for Windows?
The real thing I am looking for is tabbed pages in the notetaking program.

vim
emacs
kate
gedit
joe
nano
pico
etc...
any decent text editor should do you fine i think
iirc kate has tabbed pages
in vim and emacs you can use their windowing systems
not sure about the rest

I belive he is talking about lil post-it-notes that stick on your desktop. Like in fluxbox you got the slit something that would doc there. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No. He's looking for a program similar to OneNote. You can check it out here: http://office.microsoft.com/home/office.aspx?assetid=FX01085803&CTT=6&Origin=EC010963431033
It's actually a very nice program, especially if you are using Microsoft's TabletPC and/or are doing research on the web. However, robpom, I am not sure I can help you -- I don't know enough about Linux programs (being new to Linux myself) to suggest something.
You may want to try KNote -- although I don't think that is what you are looking for. Keep asking, and searching, the web. Sorry I couldn't help you better.
