Thanks. mdwatts 05-22-2004, 10:57 AM What distro/version and X version (X -version at the commandline will tell you) are you using. The JL Community Help Posting Guideline sticky thread at the top of each forum suggests you include as much information as possible to help us to help you. According to http://www.xfree86.org/4.3.0/Status31.html#31 the SiS 315 is supported by the 'sis' driver already included with X. <edit> Have you actually tried installing your distro already and cannot configure X or it is not working correctly OR are you just looking for the video driver for your SiS 315E before starting? pcypmada 05-25-2004, 04:17 AM Thanks very much Mdwatts. I am using Fedora Core 1: 4.3.0-55. Just want to download the driver. I am using a desknote Video controller is SiS 315E PCI bus interface and the display is 14.1" XGA + TFT -- QDI QD141x1LH03 and Hyundai HT 14X13 -102. When go for dsiplay settings :- The maximum setting allow is 800x600 colour depth Million of colours. Wants to go for higher resolution. The monitor type is Unprobed Monitor. Any way to go for higher resolution? Regards mdwatts 05-25-2004, 10:21 AM You don't need to download a driver as X already includes the 'sis' driver for the 315. Are you using the X config tool(s) included with Fedora to configure your video card and monitor? Is 'sis' listed as a available X driver? For LCD either select 'Vesa' or 'LCD' for the monitor. justlinux.com
