i have come to the site above to download "All-in-one package"
when i tar it , there is no make or ./configure available
instead of it ,some dll and .so.6.0 exsit.
how should i do to install it ?

You might want to go back to the site and download the documentation....it's a lot of reading, but it will get you there:)

what distro are you running? there may be a precompiled package you can use for your distro:)

red hat 9.0
i assume i should put that dll into a right place ,and it works automatively
am i right ? and what is that place?

did you install the devlopment packages? also if you want a precompiled Mplayer RPM see the apt4rpm link in my sig :D what codec are you missing? if mplayer is already up & running do what bathory suggusted:)

You must untar codecs in /usr/local/lib/codecs, so mplayer knows where to find them.

Also, the codecs must be in the proper directory before you compile mplayer.

i havn't found the dictionary of /usr/local/lib/codecs
need i create one and copy dlls in and compile finally?

yes you will need to create a directory called /usr/local/lib/codecs before compiling mplayer
